Application: Wastewater Recycling in Semiconductor Manufacturing
Why Kuraray?
Capable of treating high-SS wastewater with low energy consumption and a high water recovery rate, our products are widely used for recycling wastewater from processes such as chemical mechanical polishing (CMP), back grinding, and dicing, as well as wastewater from exhaust gas treatment systems.
Performance required for wastewater recycling applications in semiconductor manufacturing
Handling High-SS Wastewater
The electronics and semiconductor industries need to treat high-SS wastewater, such as slurry wastewater and wastewater from polishing processes. Our membrane modules with a proprietary cleaning mechanism treat high-SS wastewater with low energy consumption while minimizing pretreatment, contributing to cost reduction and sustainability initiatives.
High Water Recovery Rate
In the electronics and semiconductor industries, wastewater from membrane filtration facilities must be reduced as much as possible and the water recovery rate, which is the percentage of permeate, must be increased. Kuraray's air backwash technology does not use permeate to clean membranes, which significantly reduces wastewater and allows for more efficient use of water.
High Flow Capacity
Higher water filtration volume per membrane module allows for lower costs.
Extensive track Record
Kuraray's hollow fiber membrane products are widely used for recycling wastewater from various semiconductor manufacturing processes. Based on over 50 years of extensive experience, we provide solutions for processes and water quality.
